Overview

Are you a strategic and commercial leader with SaaS / subscription software experience? Is ed-tech an area that inspires you? Do you dream of working in a global role with global impact? Let’s talk!

This is an exciting permanent, newly created full-time global role based in Brisbane for a Director of Teaching Resource Solutions (TRS) who wants to join a global leader in education.

But before we dive into the role specifics, we want to tell you more about Tes.

Who is Tes?

Tes is a rapidly growing global business building trusted and innovative ed-tech solutions for students and teachers worldwide. Their mission? To power schools and enable great teaching worldwide by creating intelligent online products and services to make the greatest difference in education.

As an ed-tech market leader, Tes’s origin story started over 100 years ago as a pull-out supplement in the UK publication The Times. Back then, it was known as the ‘Times Educational Supplement’. Fast forward to today and Tes has grown to become one of the largest online communities for teachers, connecting and supporting more than 13 million educators globally, powered by a team of over 700 employees around the world.

A key pillar of the Tes business, known as Teaching Resources empowers teachers through online access to teaching resources. Two products sit under the Teaching Resources area – namely Tes Resources and Teach Starter.

Firstly let us tell you about Tes Resources, one of their most popular products. This is a peer to peer, UK based global reaching business with over 900,000 resources. This is an ‘on demand’ product empowering teachers and educators to access what they need, when they need it from other teachers and educators.

Secondly, the recently acquired Teach Starter product, which is host to an online library of up to 30,000 bespoke teaching resources made by teachers, for teachers designed to spark more “aha” moments for every teacher and student. This subscription based business provides curated classroom plans for teachers and educators around the world.

Bringing these two products together under the one metaphorical roof has been a major opportunity for Tes to continue creating those little (and big!) wins in classrooms across the globe. And better yet? They are looking for a dynamic and driven leader to own and drive the integrated growth of their teacher education products – Teach Starter and Tes Resources as Director of Teaching Resource Solutions (TRS).

This exciting role represents a rare global opportunity to drive brand awareness and product adoption of TRS right here from sunny Brisbane!
